1. All Bartenders are to be at their respective venues at 18:30pm for their Briefing @ 19:00 and to be given their Order of Flair.

2. Any competitor who is not present at the time of the Briefing will be disqualified for that event.

The 1st leg of the national cocktail competition took place at the Good Food and Wine Show over the weekend and was watched and supported by many patrons to the show.

ROOKIE FLAIR Winner - Pieter Oosthuizen with his winning cocktail "Watermelon & Cucumber Mojito"

1st Runner up – Ben Burner

2nd Runner up – Devon Howell

PRO FLAIR Winner - Travis Kuhn with his winning cocktail “The Dark Night”                   This win also secured his place to compete in the international flair competition at the IBA in Berlin, August 2009.

1st Runner up – Anil Sabharwahl

2nd Runner up – Riaan Strydom

CLASSIC COCKTAIL Winner - Zillen De Klerk with his winning cocktails “Bitters Breeze” “Aged Passion and “Watermelon Warmer”

1st Runner up – Denzel Heath

2nd Runner up – Jaco Brink

All the above contestants secured a spot to compete at the national finals Johannesburg in September 2009.
